The New Standard ISO 14001: 2015 In The Spotlight
The 29th of January the major developments of ISO 14001: 2015 will be discussed during a technical conference that will take place in Bilbao and which is organized by the Department of Environment and Regional Policy of the Basque Government through its public company Ihobe.
The process to approval and its subsequent entry into force will be the focus of the event. During the conference keynote speakers will provide insight about the most significant changes proposed in the draft of the above standard, currently under review, on matters relating to strategic environmental management, leadership, environmental protection, environmental performance, life cycle approach and communication.
In addition, several companies from different fields operating in the Basque Country will present good practices in their organisations.
Ihobe will present as well the methods and materials available that will serve organizations that want to anticipate the most significant changes of the ISO 14001: 2015.
Since October 2013, Ihobe has been organizing what is called “Eco efficient Thursdays” which consist of technical-environmental conferences aimed at businesses in the Basque Country where areas such as environmental policy, resource efficiency, green economy, waste recovery and eco-innovation are discussed, taking into account the evolution of the legislative and administrative procedures.
